Questions
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser using the Canvas API — the file never leaves your machine, and the tool keeps working if you go offline after the page loads. There is no account, no queue, and no server-side copy to delete later.
Crop before or after annotating a screenshot?
Crop first, almost always. Annotations sized against the full image end up wrong once you remove half of it, and cropping afterwards can slice an arrow in half. Decide what the reader needs to see, cut to that, then mark it up.
